Project Description
LCC, working with employers and unions will support workplace basic skills learning.
We will:
- Organise workplace-learning promotion/engagement.
- Train workplace mentors to provide front line support.
- Carry out assessment of learners needs, identify why they want to improve basic skills, opportunities to practice new skills in a context relevant to them.
- Set up programmes, using mentor support, 1 to 1 and group sessions and ICT to enhance provision.
Through this programme we will support 351 learners in more than 47 companies; 141 learners will gain awards. 47 new workplace mentors will be trained.
